Business

The EGP is a structured  programme that exposes you to every aspect of our business and the Wolseley culture. Through a unique combination of hands-on, practical experience and detailed classroom training, you'll learn what makes our Group so successful. You'll be encouraged to make decisions, use your initiative and put your new skills into real-time, real-life practice.

Culture

Throughout the programme, you'll be working in a challenging, multi-cultural environment. And although language skills are important, so too is an understanding of diversity and a desire to interact with – and learn from – a wide range of different people and cultures. On the EGP, you'll spend nine months in the UK, nine months in continental Europe and six months working on a project – which could be in any of the European countries where we operate.

To maintain our momentum, we need to attract top quality people who can shape and implement strategies across national boundaries and cultures. Beyond the EGP, the opportunities are many and varied. Certainly, within five years you should be taking significant responsibility for parts of the business.
