Senior support
While you'll be encouraged to use your initiative, there'll also be strong support
throughout the two years and beyond. You'll benefit from regular interaction with
our senior team. Your ongoing support will include both a graduate mentor and a
buddy who will be on hand to provide valuable advice, share experiences and answer
any questions on a one-to-one basis.
Hands-on experience
Although this is a true management development programme, it's about more than
just theory. When you work in a branch you'll need to roll up your sleeves and get
involved. Understanding life at the sharp end of the business is fundamental to
understanding Wolseley – and earning the respect of colleagues and customers
alike.
Classroom training
Complementing the hands-on training, our formal classroom sessions will make sure
that you can apply your intellectual skills across a very diverse customer base.
You'll also go on assignments and be involved with projects that you own and for
which you are responsible.
Based on a unique mix of hands-on experience and formal classroom training, the
EGP begins with in-branch experience and then moves you through every phase of the
business to give you an understanding of how we meet the needs of our customers.
